The Town provides water and sewer for all properties within the corporate limits. And some residents out side the city limits receive water only. The source of our town water is from deep wells into the 'Castle Hayne' aquifer. The Waste Water Treatment Plant has a current capacity of 600,000 gallons per day. It is currently under construction to enlarge the capacity to 750,000 gallons per day.
The treated water is discharged into the Newport River.
